Ohhh heck no... first the MICK and NOW my other all time favorite laugh out loud and learn something FUN show?! I mean I record the show EVERY week day... and if I cant watch live... you better believe I am watching on record!!
Here is what went down according to Deadline; Over at ABC, “The Chew” is getting the boot and “Good Morning America” is taking over. The network has announced that after seven seasons, “The Chew” will stop production at the end of the season, making way for a third hour of “Good Morning America.” The third hour will air in the same time slot- 1pm EST- “The Chew” originally held. The move comes following reports that “The Chew” co-host Mario Batali is under investigation by the NYPD for sexual misconduct.
“While this is the right decision for our business, it is also bittersweet,” says ABC’s co-chairman Ben Sherwood. “For seven years 'The Chew' has delighted audiences by delivering innovative food segments in an entertaining atmosphere. We applaud and thank Gordon Elliott, Aimee Householder, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and the entire cast and crew for their great work and amazing run. And we wish them the very best.”
The network is excited to bring viewers a third hour of the leading morning show. James Goldston, President of ABC News says with the third hour, “we will build a whole new hour of compelling content that is true to GMA’s spirit.” Since the third hour won’t air until the afternoon, “Live With Kelly and Ryan” and “The View” will not be affected by the schedule change. Additional details about the hosts and title are expected to be announced within the next few months. We’ll keep you posted.
