Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich are encountering some issues, as per PEOPLE.
On Wednesday (January 8), the celebrity gossip outlet reported that Hough, 31, and Laich, 36, who wed in 2017, have "been having problems for months." According to one source, Hough is "independent and a free spirit, and that’s been tough for Brooks and their marriage."
Meanwhile, another insider said that the couple hasn't given up hope on their marriage and simply want to navigate this in their own way. "It seems they are not giving up, but also not talking about it. They want to do this their way. They don’t want to discuss their marriage. They have been having problems, but many people do," the source said. "Maybe it’s a just a phase, maybe not. But either way they are not going to address it publicly right now."
Word of rocky times spread when Hough was spotted without her wedding band while co-hosting NBC's New Year's Eve alongside Carson Daly. She was also ringless during an Instagram video in late December.
In August 2019, Hough made headlines when she recalled the moment that she told Laich she was not straight in an interview with Women's Health. "I [told him], 'You know I’m not straight, right?' And he was like, 'I'm sorry, what?' I was like, 'I'm not. But I choose to be with you,'' she admitted to the mag. "I think there’s a safety with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this, and there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been afraid to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised."
