MLK Day 2020: Here's What's Happening in Atlanta!

Martin Luther King Jr. birthday is January 15th, however the federal holiday celebrating him is always observed on the third Monday of January each year.

This year falls on Monday, January 20th, and here is a list of events going on to celebrate the Civil Rights Leader.

MLK day 5K Drum Run

City of East Points 2nd annual Martin Luther King, Jr.Day of Service

Please join the City of East Point for its 2nd annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service event on January 20, 2020, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Park Recreation Center. Admission is free.

2020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commemorative March/Rally

Route begins at Peachtree Street & Baker Street.Will travel from Peachtree Street to Auburn Avenue.Route will conclude in front of the The King Center - 449 Auburn Avenue.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at Atlanta History Center

Come enjoy this special community day, which features inspiring performances, programs, and historical simulations that highlight contributions and stories of African Americans in Atlanta. Explore and be a part of the conversation.

This is a free admission day. Guests are invited to enjoy the program as well as Atlanta History Center’s historic houses, gardens, and exhibitions.
