Clare Crawley Hints She Was Forced To Step Down As 'The Bachelorette'

Clare Crawley may really have the most dramatic season of The Bachelorette yet. While filming the reality dating show over the summer, reports began circulating that Crawley had stepped down from her starring role. Crawley has remained tight lipped about what really went down, however, she recently liked some very pointed tweets about her decision to leave the show.

On Saturday (October 24), Bachelorette fan Marietou Sangare took to Twitter to share her own theories about Crawley's season. “I think they were trying to force her outon some real,” the tweet reads. “And I really feel like they are giving her a bad edit (just my opinion). They are feeding into the narrative and the rumors and making it seem like it was Clare’s decision that this ended and I feel like that’s not the case. They had Tayshia [Adams] quarantined 9 days after Clare started filming. They wanted to remove Clare. And I just don’t think it’s fair.”

It didn't take long for Bachelor Nation to notice that Crawley liked the tweet. That wasn't the only interesting tweet Crawley liked, either. Another post by Sangare that Crawley favorited read: “Production knows exactly what they were doing. They’ve never had a lead just ‘quit’ and with how excited and how bad Clare wanted this, I doubt it. They were ready with a back up and as soon as they found out that Clare was into Dale it was a wrap,” the posts continued. “Don’t you see with how the last two episodes have been produced, there’s no drama and the drama that they’ve shown has been dramatized and fixated to make Clare look a certain type of way. Production has control over literally everything. They know what they’re doing.”

Crawley reportedly fell head over heels for suitor Dale Moss on the first night of filming The Bachelorette. After first meeting Moss, Crawley told producers she just met her future husband. The pair are believed to be engaged. Crawley was even recently spotted wearing a diamond ring on that finger.

The Bachelorette airs on ABC Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
