BRITNEY SPEARS' LAWYER SUGGESTS DAD TRYING TO AVOID ACCOUNTABILITY
Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears just filed a petition to end her 13-year conservatorship. And while this is good news, Britney’s lawyer suspects he has ulterior motives.
“This filing represents a massive legal victory for Britney Spears, as well as vindication,” Brit’s lawyer Matthew Rosengart tells “Vanity Fair” in a statement. “Having exposed his misconduct and improper plan to hold his daughter hostage by trying to extract a multimillion-dollar settlement, Mr. Spears has now effectively surrendered. There is no settlement.”
But Rosengart suggests the reason Jamie’s doing this is to “try to avoid accountability and justice,” thinking he won’t have to go through with a deposition or any other discovery. Rosengart adds, “He is incorrect and our investigation into financial mismanagement and other issues will continue.”

MISS AMERICA WILL NOW JUDGE CONTESTANTS ON HEALTH INSTEAD OF BEAUTY
Here's the Miss America pageant's latest attempt to survive in a world where its values no longer gel with those of the general public. The pageant issued a statement saying, quote, "Miss America is pivoting their mission to define women's wellness as being based on optimal health, rather than physical appearance."
What that means is anybody's guess at this point. But Miss America did ditch the swimsuit competition in 2018 which they bragged about in the new press release.
They said, quote, "By eliminating the swimsuit competition, it created an opportunity for us to redefine women’s wellness and what it means to be a great woman today in modern America."

You thought the tension on last night’s episode of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was bad? Consider the real-life blasting Erika Jayne is facing. As if public flogging over her legal drama isn’t enough, viewers have also been criticizing Jayne’s ‘performance’ for the cameras as insensitive to those harmed by her husband, Tom Girardi.
Now, her love of the camera is getting her plenty of heat online.Specifically? In recent days, she’s been posting some risqué photos – including a topless snap she posted yesterday. As one watcher noted, “No shame. No humble. No money to the victims.#tonedeaf.”
With all that in mind, Jayne has been lamenting the lack of support she’s received from her “RHOBH” castmates as the season has rolled out. That appears to be in line with her ‘off camera’ life – as reports say she’s “horrified” to see the way her castmates have been speaking about her legal woes in the show confessionals.
