NETFLIX STANDS WITH DAVE CHAPPELLE AND WON'T REMOVE HIS NEW SPECIAL

Dave Chappelle offended some people with his comments about trans people in his new Netflix special "The Closer". But Netflix has his back, and they're not removing it.

CEO Ted Sarandos addressed the issue in a memo to employees. He said, quote, "We don't allow titles (on) Netflix that are designed to incite hate or violence, and we don't believe'The Closer' crosses that line."

He added, quote, "I recognize that distinguishing between commentary and harm is hard, especially with stand-up comedy which exists to push boundaries. Some people find the art of stand-up to be mean-spirited but our members enjoy it, and it's an important part of our content offering."

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS IS RELEASING A MEMOIR

Jamie Lynn Spears has a memoir in the works. The book, “Things I Should Have Said,” gives an intimate look into her personal struggles as a child actress, teen mother and public figure.

"I owe it to myself, my younger self, and to my daughters to be an example that you should never edit yourself or your truth to please anyone else,” she writes on Instagram “I know I still have ALOT of learning to do, but I feel like finishing this book gave me closure on this '30 year long' chapter of my life, and hopefully helps anyone else out there who forgot their worth, lost their voice, or is trying to break an unhealthy cycle in their life."

“Things I Should Have Said” hits shelves on January 18th, 2022. And apparently, that wasn’t always the title. The working title had been “I Must Confess,” a line from the chorus of her sister Britney Spears’ 1998 debut single “Baby One More Time”... but after some backlash, she changed it, since it’s such a “sensitive time” for the Spears family, considering all that’s going on with the #FreeBritney movement.

KIM K AND KANYE ARE NOT TOGETHER - IN SPITE OF "SNL"

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West played nice over the weekend. He helped her get ready for her “Saturday Night Live” debut. In addition, she kept dropping her married name – Kim Kardashian West – from the stage. There were even reports that she was making googly eyes at him during her monologue.

But be clear –the divorce is still on. According to an insider, “[Kim and Kanye] are not back together. He is still her family, and they are friends. They’ve been working on their friendship for the kids, and continue to support each other. He’ll always be her family, and they’ll always support each other.”

For instance, the parents of four stayed in separate hotels. Kim was at The Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South while Kanye took up residence at the Pendry Manhattan West. And while they traveled to “SNL” together, he dipped out right after her monologue. He also didn’t attend the afterparty.
