KEKE PALMER HOSTS LIVE DATING EVENT
Keke Palmer hosted a live dating event with Unbothered, a Refinery29 community for and about Black women. “The Hookup” allowed Black singles in Los Angeles to come together to restore the art of in-person dating as people emerge from their social cocoons. They could drink, dine, and dance with the ultimate goal of finding a potential mate.
"I love ‘Unbothered’ because of the platform they've created for Black women to share their real stories. I'm so excited to be partnering with them to seek out more of those stories and curate conversations that reflect our culture," Keke said. "You may have seen us in the streets getting into some real talk about cuffing season for ‘Keke's Korner’ and it was so rewarding to bring that to life at ‘The Hookup.’”
The evening included a guest photobooth, curated question cards, and special love-themed beverages helped the daters break the ice. During this evening of old-school fun, Keke led guests through the night with date-friendly activities like dining roulette and trivia. Attendees were handed two unique calling cards at the start of the evening on which they could share their contact information with potential dating partners. She hopes to be able to take this idea on the road.

Sienna Diaz recently shared a heartwarming story about her encounter with Offset. Apparently her mother – who was having a “horrible” day – went to Target to lift her spirits.
Mr. Cardi B overhead their conversation during checkout. Not only did he pick up their $200 bill, he also offered the mom a hug and some kind words. The woman was in tears.
“[Offset] came over and gave my mom the biggest hug. He told her that whatever she was going through, that she would be okay.” Sienna wrote in the caption. “No one has ever done anything like this for my mom and we are truly grateful.”
