Johnny Depp’s Lawyers Argue Verdict Should Stand

Amber Heard’s legal team is asking the court to set aside the verdict handed down against her, claiming that one of the jurors that reached the verdict was the wrong person. They may want a new trial, but Johnny Depp’s lawyers don't - and say the snafu didn’t affect anything and the verdict should stand.

“Unsurprisingly, Ms. Heard cites no case law to support her argument that the service of Juror 15," Team Depp told the Court. "If he is not the same individual that the Court assigned as Juror 15, somehow compromised her due process and would warrant…a new trial.”

It’s not the first time Heard’s lawyers have asked for the verdict to be set aside, including the claim that Depp’s team made improper arguments during the trial and that the jurors couldn’t have logically found that Depp suffered any damage. None have been successful so far.
