District Attorney Signals Charges for Alec Baldwin

Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies appears to be signalling that Alec Baldwin may soon face charges for his role in the accidental shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western film, "Rust."

In an August 30th letter requesting $635,500 to aid in prosecuting the shooting, the DA stated, “If charges are warranted, the (First Judicial District Attorney) anticipates prosecuting up to four individuals...One of the possible defendants is well-known movie actor Alec Baldwin,” she added, though the letter does not identify other suspects who may be charged.

For the record, October 21st will mark the one-year anniversary of the fatal shooting. Baldwin was holding a prop gun when it fired, and a live bullet penetrated through Hutchins’ stomach and lodged in director Joel Souza’s shoulder. Hutchins passed away after being airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital.

  • Baldwin may face more legal exposure for his role as a producer on the film rather than his handling of the gun. Just hours before the accident, several crew members staged a walk-off to protest poor and unsafe working conditions, which producers including Baldwin may have contributed to.
  • Don't forget, Baldwin has maintained his total innocence, even claiming that he didn't even pull the trigger. This was contradicted by an FBI report last month, which determined that the Pietta Colt .45 “could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger.”

Meghan Trainor Accuses Nurses Of Blaming Her For Son's NICU Stay

Meghan Trainer has been very open about the difficult delivery she had with son Riley, and in a new interview she shares that when he was in the NICU, nurses suggested she was to blame for him being there.

“They kept asking me if I was on antidepressants during the pregnancy, and I was, but on the lowest dose possible,” she tells “Romper,” noting that she had told the nurses that “all” her doctors said they “wouldn’t affect” the baby. She adds, “it was really f**ked up.”

Riley, now one, was in the NICU for a mysterious condition where he wouldn’t wake up to feed. “They had no name for what was wrong. He just wouldn’t wake up,” she says. While he was eventually able to come home, Meghan notes the worries didn’t end there, because it turns out Riley wasn’t much of a crier. She explains, “We kept being like, ‘Uh-oh, what’s up with him? Is this what serial killers are like when they’re first born? They never cry?’”

And through all of it, Meghan felt like she wasn’t allowed to break down over her fears. “All the wives, all these mamas, you can’t cry, you can’t be like ‘Today was f–king tough,’” she said. “Nope, you have to be like, ‘Everything’s perfect; we’re all perfect and happy.’ And it’s not easy.”

Kanye to Britons: I Lost My Queen, Too

Hey, Brits - Kanye West totally feels your pain. Or so he says. Of course, the United Kingdom is still in mourning over the loss of Queen Elizabeth II earlier this month - and Ye, in London for Burberry's spring 2023 collection, must have been feeling the whole mournful vibe Britain is going through.

Ye took to Instagram to let Brits know he empathizes. "LONDON I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL I LOST MY QUEEN TOO.” Ye didn’t add anymore context - but it would appear the rapper was talking about his split from ex, Kim Kardashian.

Ye’s post comes after he sat down for one of his first major interviews since his divorce and apologized to his ex wife. "This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused even in my frustration because God calls me to be stronger," he said during the interview with Good Morning America.

Kim must be on Kanye's mind a lot recently - a two-day trial settling the terms of the pair’s divorce is due to begin on December 14th. According to reports, Ye has yet to engage legal representation on that front.
