Local McDonald’s restaurants mark the anniversary of the opening of Atlanta’s first Ronald McDonald House

Atlanta area McDonald’s restaurants will donate 20% of sales to Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities on Saturday, March 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The fundraiser supports Atlanta RMHC’s Giving Days campaign and proceeds will go toward building a bigger Ronald McDonald House to serve more families, providing a comfortable place to stay near the hospital, nutritious meals, and all the comforts of home.

“This year marks the 44th anniversary of the opening of Atlanta’s first Ronald McDonald House on March 11,” said Beth Howell, President & CEO of Atlanta RMHC. “We are grateful to have generous support from the local McDonald’s Owner/Operators to help more families feel at home when their hospitalized child receives life-saving medical treatment in Atlanta.”
