“Angelic Yield” TikTok Trend Is Opposite Of Stealing Trend

As kids across the country are settling into the new school year, some were going viral on TikTok for posting videos about the equipment they stole from school. We recently told you about the “devious licks” TikTok trend that had students taking everything from soap dispensers to projectors from their schools in hopes of going viral. But now some TikTokers are doing the complete opposite by leaving toilet paper, soap and more in public bathrooms.

This new “angelic yields” trend is in direct response to the theft and vandalism of the “devious licks,” which left school administrators pleading with students to stop or face disciplinary action. It’s unclear who gets credit for starting the “angelic yields” on TikTok, but posts about it started appearing over the weekend of September 19th and since then, the trend has exploded.

Videos of “angelic yields” show users leaving rolls of toilet paper, soap, money and even coffee makers in public bathrooms, some with comments like, “have to make up for my past.” It’s not exactly clear if these are students doing this at school bathrooms, but wherever they’re doing it, giving back has to be better than taking.
