A person’s wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, but there are plenty of people, like guests, mothers, mothers-in-law, etc, that may get in the way of that happening, just by just opening their mouths.
A new thread on the anonymous Whisper app has married women sharing the rudest comments they had to endure on their wedding day, and some of them are bound to leave you shook.
They include:
- “My mother-in-law said it looked like I ‘gained a few.’”
- “My mother-in-law said to a family friend of my family that I was the worst thing to happen to her son.”
- “My mother-in-law said ‘suck it in’ when we took our first picture after marriage.”
- “Your cousin is a prettier bride.”
- “Cousin and bridesmaid said ‘do you know how hard it was to be your friend throughout your whole life.’”
- “Groom to bride: the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen. Bride’s mother-in-law: I guess he has never been to a wedding.”
- “Mother-in-law said ‘how long do you think it will last? I give it three years.’”
- “’You broke your mother’s heart today…I hope you’re proud.’ My dad to me during our dance.”
- “Look the wh*re wearing white.”
- “You’re going to have sex tonight and everyone knows it. Even your parents.”
- “Father-in-law: ‘how tall are you?” me: ‘6’5”” ‘I didn’t know they stacked sh*t that high.’”
- “Well, we thought he’d change his mind…oh well, everyone gets divorced.”
