Cardi B Wins Defamation Verdict Against YouTuber
A federal jury sided with Cardi B yesterday in her case against YouTuber Tasha K.
Following a two-week trial with testimony from both women, the jury returned a verdict that Latasha Kebe was liable for defamation, invasion of privacy through portrayal in a false light, and intentional infliction of emotional distress over her YouTube videos and other internet posts that claimed Cardi B had contracted herpes and other rumors.
The verdict awarded Cardi B $1.25 million in damages, but proceedings are starting today to decide if Kebe owes punitive damages and whether she has to reimburse Cardi B’s legal expenses.

Social media gave Jennifer Lopez a harsh roasting on the anniversary of her attempt to go viral with the Love Don’t Cost A Thing challenge. Last year she posted a video of her walking on the beach with the song playing in the background. J. Lo starts taking off her expensive jewelry and throwing it behind her without looking.
Very few fans actually tried the “challenge” last year, and this year they blasted the star over it again, with comments like “The challenge was getting people to do it” and “Who wants to go to Hollywood beach and throw our belongings into the frigid water tomorrow?”
