According to TMZ, Daniel Craig is on set, in the role he swore he'd rather slash his wrists than play again -- Bond. James Bond.
And then a little thing called money happened.
Craig will return as Bond in the 25th installment in the franchise with some reports claiming he’ll be paid north of $66 million–making him one of the highest paid actors in the world. If reports are true, Craig will be paid more than George Lazenby (one film, 1969), Roger Moore (seven films), Timothy Dalton (two films), and Pierce Bronson (four films) combined.
We’ve been expecting you… #Bond25, Daniel Craig’s 5th outing as 007, will be directed by Academy Award-winning Danny Boyle from an original screenplay by John Hodge. Here is the thing! I have been a James Bond fan for a really long time. Ever since I was little I have admired James Bond, owned Golden Eye (classic) for the Nintendo 64 and have even fantasized about playing the first "black" 007.
I think Daniel Craig for the time he has assumed the role of James Bond has done a great job. Now here is the thing, if he no longer wants to play the role why force him to do so when there are so many other actors who give their arm and leg to do so.
If the franchise really wanted to make an impact on their 50th they would make a grand gesture for a new course. Why not actually have a black James Bond or a woman 007 take the mantel?!
