From Go Fund Me Page;

July 7, 2019 Stephanie received a phone call that would alter her life forever.

“Your husband has been shot.”

Stephanie raced to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where Officer Nicolas Blane Dixon was in surgery after taking a bullet just below his ballistics vests. Despite their efforts, they were unable to save his life. Stephanie held him until she was unable to any longer, overcome in grief and complete disbelief that her husband was truly gone. At 28 years old, Blane had lost his life in the line of duty, in pursuit of suspects on foot after they crashed their getaway car. An exchange of gunfire took his life and left Stephanie a young widow and single mother. Their oldest son, Caden, 9 years old, and their new baby Colt Justice, were left without a father.

This page has been set up in response to the outpouring of love and support from the community and the surrounding areas asking how they can help the family. First and foremost, be in prayer. A long difficult road lies ahead for Stephanie and her boys. If you so desire to make a contribution, you can do so here and all funds (with the exception of the percentage Go Fund Me takes), will go directly to Stephanie and her children.
